PALAIOS publishes in US-style English only. Non-native English speakers must have their manuscripts critiqued by an English speaker prior to submission.
The metric system and SI units are required.
PALAIOS does not publish taxonomic reports or descriptions.
All Research Articles and Research Notes are peer reviewed.
Spelling should conform to Webster's Third New International Dictionary (Unabridged).
For proper use of stratigraphic nomenclature, refer to the North American Stratigraphic Code by NACSN, 2003, www.agiweb.org/nacsn/code2.
For proper use of geological time intervals, refer to the International Stratigraphic Chart, www.stratigraphy.org.
